Quest: The Shard of Ymir

Retrieve the Shard of Ymir from Frostfang Caves in Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel by defeating the Frostfang Guardian and Ice Golems.

Objective: Retrieve the Shard of Ymir from the Frostfang Caves.

1. Locate the Cave Entrance: The Frostfang Caves entrance is marked on your map, southwest of the Elder's Shrine. Be wary of 'Ice Golems' guarding the entrance; they are slow but hit hard. Dodge their ground slams.
2. Navigate the Caves: The caves are linear but contain several branching paths with minor loot chests. Stick to the main path marked by the quest objective. You'll encounter 'Frost Spiders' (fast, low health) and more Draugr.
3. Defeat the Frostfang Guardian: At the deepest part of the cave, you'll face the 'Frostfang Guardian', a mini-boss. This creature has a predictable attack pattern: a three-hit claw combo and a frontal ice breath. Dodge through its attacks and counter-attack during its recovery. Focus on breaking its 'Frost Armor' with heavy attacks.
4. Claim the Shard: After defeating the Guardian, interact with the glowing pedestal to retrieve the Shard of Ymir.
5. Return to the Elder's Shrine: Fast travel back to the Elder's Shrine (if unlocked) or retrace your steps. Speak to the Elder to complete the quest.
