Think of skills as special powers you get as you level up, except for level 11, where you unlock subclasses instead. ## Choosing Skills Each hero has their own unique skills, and some Norse gods offer theirs too. When you level up, you'll first choose between two gods, or one god and your hero. After that, you'll get a random selection of three skills from that hero or god. Sometimes, it might even be four! Don't worry if you don't like the initial choices; you have a limited number of rerolls to get a new set of options. Plus, you can use a limited number of banishes to prevent a skill from showing up again. Use these wisely! ## Skill Types There are two main types of skills to keep an eye on: * Autocast: These are like your basic attacks but way cooler. They trigger automatically at certain times and often hit multiple enemies or cover an area. You can only have five autocast skills active during a raid: three from gods and two from your hero. Once you hit that limit from a specific source (like Thor), that source won't offer more autocast skills. You can upgrade these skills twice to reach level three, and starting at hero level 20, you can even upgrade them to level four, which changes how they work. * Passive: These skills offer a wide range of effects. Some can be upgraded to level two or three, but many don't have upgrades at all – you'll know because they won't have a Roman numeral at the end of their name.
