Master the Ascent in Metroid: Zero Mission! This guide details navigating tricky platforms, finding secrets, and progressing through Norfair.

Alright, let's tackle the Ascent! First things first, head back to the room you were just in. Use that handy statue to get your health and weapons fully restored – you'll want them. Then, make your way right until you run into those enemies again.

Here’s a neat trick: freeze one of the enemies. Now, use that frozen foe as a platform to hop up to the ledge above. Once you're up there, shoot the 2x2 block on your right. Follow the passage that opens up, go through the door below, and hit the save room. Phew, safe for a moment!

Keep heading right until you reach the room where you snagged that Energy Tank earlier. Work your way all the way to the right end of this room, then roll into the tunnel. Keep going until you enter the shaft beyond.

Your goal now is to climb to the very top of this shaft. Once you're at the top, shoot the 2x2 block on your left. Follow the passage behind it, and keep climbing. When you reach the top, go through the door.

You'll see a couple of gaps to jump across. After you make those jumps, you'll reach a spawning pipe. Go left just a bit and lure an enemy over to your position. Freeze him when he's above you, and use him as a platform to reach another ledge above. Head right from there to find a Missile Tank – nice find! Drop back down and make your way left, past some birds. You'll need to use a missile on the block near the wall, and then some bombs to break through and drop down to the room below.

There's another save room nearby, so use it! After saving, take the elevator up to Norfair. You've made it through Ascent!
