Deserted Island Area 7
A huge cavernous area that gives an ambient, echo-y presence. Can house large creatures.
Points of Interest
- Altaroth move around the north west area, harvesting mushrooms.

Deserted Island Area 8
A large, bone and body strewn nest sits here overlooking the water below. Brown and grey, it’s a slightly depressing mark and fighting here always feels markedly more grim than anywhere else in this area.
Points of Interest
- Rathian, Qurupeco and other flying monsters will retreat here when exhausted in order to rest.
- You can leap from the cliff on its eastern side to fall down to Area 5. You can also be knocked down here by big attacks, so watch out!

Deserted Island Area 9
A water corridor with distinct blotches of ancient architecture marking its walls. A favourite haunt for Ludroth. This corridor also has some unbreakable stone pillars that you can use as heal/whetstone defense.
Points of Interest
- Ludroth can appear from the Base Camp to Area 9 link tunnel.
