The Hallowed Jhen Mohran is a subspecies of Jhen Mohran encountered during G-Rank quests. This version of Jhen Mohran uses its attacks in a slightly different order than the standard Jhen Mohran.

• Fangs (x2): Ultra High Durability, Large Lurch effect on decrease

• Arms (x2), Fins, Cracked Fins (x2): Ultra High Durability, Lurch effect on decrease

Breakable Parts:

• Fangs (x2), Arms (x2): Break by decreasing durability. Effect: Extra Rewards.
• Cracked Fins (x2): Break by decreasing durability twice. Effect: Extra Rewards.

Key Attacks:

• Side Barge: Jhen Mohran barges into the side of the sandship. Move to the other side of the ship to avoid taking damage.
• Rock Toss: Rocks are visibly released from Mohran’s back, targeting hunters. Move to avoid them.
• Body Slam: Jhen lands on top of the deck. Retreat to the ammunition store to avoid.
• Board: Jhen attempts to leap onto the front of the ship. You can interrupt this with the dragonator.

Recommended Strategy:

Jhen is largely a simple fight, and certainly the most typical of a game boss. You want to focus on using the Ballista cannons to launch shots at Jhen’s tusks or the artillery cannon, dealing damage at range constantly, moving around the boat to react to attacks as spotted.

When Mohran starts swimming close to the boat it’s actually possible to leap onto his back, dealing damage with your weapon directly. Don’t worry about falling into the sea either, you’ll be rescued by the boat. Continue to damage, react, and run onto Jhen when possible.
