Follow this comprehensive walkthrough for Observation's Part I, guiding you through voice authentication, sphere controls, module navigation, and essential data points.

Following the trippy title sequence, this is where the game really begins to open up. But first, we're going to start you off with something more familiar: voice authentication! Click "Analyse" and move the left stick towards the right to scan that voice pattern, and then once again, your choice to accept or reject.

No longer are you locked to wall-mounted cameras -- Emma's put you in what is more or less a personality core from Portal, except you have thrusters. Brace yourself, it's clunky as hell by design, but it can still be pretty cool, and there are some parts of the game where it's mandatory, so get used to it. You're essentially on rails for this first bit, so do as Emma says and use the left stick to zoom over to her like a child taking your first steps. And now the training wheels are off, so use the right stick to turn around and then fly back over to her again. If you screw up, she'll take a moment and then turn you around herself.

Furthermore, there are additional controls Emma doesn't train you on that can make navigating in the sphere a little easier. Move the left stick to the sides to strafe left or right, and use the left and right bumpers to rotate if you want to help reorient yourself.

Once you're back with her, move the right stick down and to the right a bit (or down and to the left if Emma is right-side-up) until you're looking at the sphere on the table, and then trigger-click it (the CO2 Refill Station is also an option, as is the laptop mounted to the wall), then after more dialogue, hit the menu button to go back to your map. Emma will show you the modules that you can click on to go back to your regular-old stationary cameras, and she'll also highlight the box on the lower right that says "Connection Sphere", which is incidentally what you'll want to click on next. At (mostly) any time that you're in the sphere, you can hit the Y button to go back to the stationary cameras of whichever module you're currently in, and Y to switch from the cameras to the sphere. Additionally, the map will always show you which module your sphere is in if you ever lose track of it.

By the way, there's one more thing you can do while you're in control of a camera. If you hold the left bumper, you're given a wireframe view of whichever module you're currently in, with dots highlighting different electronic equipment including hatches and laptops that may be located inside the module. It's not often terribly useful and I honestly keep forgetting the feature even exists, but you may find more use for it than I did, and it is a feature, so I thought I'd point it out. Make of it what you will.

Currently, your objective is to reach EAS-01 "Epic". You'll ultimately want to take the sphere to EAS-01, but first, go to EAS-01 directly from the map, and switch over to Camera C. Look up just a little bit and you'll find a document, granting you [["Data Point 45"]]( Next, slide over to Camera B. Move the camera to the right until you see another document on the wall, near the shut-down laptops mounted on the side. This is [["Data Point 36"]]( While you're here in EAS-01, you can use Camera A to link with the hatch controls leading out, but you won't be able to open them. You can see the X button is labeled "Schematic", as I pointed out before. That's the key. What you'll want to do is go to the cameras in EAS-02 "HAB 1", and on camera A, look at the laptop mounted on the wall and pair with it. Hold A to connect with it, and you'll see "EAS Hatch Schematic", which will not only get you another data point ( [["Data Point 65"]]( but also unlock the schematic feature.

Now that you've got that, while still in EAS-02's Camera A, go to the hatch controls to the left of the hatch. You'll need to zoom in to interact with it. Go ahead and pair with it, and then hold the X button to go to the schematic. What you're going to want to do is unlock it, so you'll want to follow the same path laid out in this screenshot.

With the right stick, move the cursor onto the first box, and hold the A button down. With the button held down, use the D-pad to trace the route on the screenshot through to the end, then release A after the last box turns red. As should be obvious by now, this will unlock the hatch and allow you to open it.

When you've done this, go back to your sphere. It should be in EAS-09 "Spheres". There's a few collectibles you can grab in EAS-10 "Enlighten", so while in your sphere, head over there first. If your sphere is still facing Emma, then EAS-10 will be directly behind you. Unfortunately, the cameras in this room aren't active, so the sphere will have to do. Immediately, you'll see a laptop right in front of you with a low power indicator flashing on the screen. Whenever you see this, this generally means that you'll have to find the electrical outlet (or "power caddy") it's plugged into and turn that on. You'll find the power caddy down and to the right from where the laptop is sitting. Pair with it and turn it on, then go back to the laptop for two more data points: [["Data Point 52"]]( and [["Data Point 1"]]( Next, look up at the ceiling and pair with the EMU Calibration Unit and turn it on for [["Data Point 61"]](

Once you've gotten all of these, turn around and return to EAS-09. Move past Emma and try to reach EAS-05 "ECC" without getting lost (good luck, it's surprisingly disorienting). Once you get to EAS-05, there will be a brief blackout. Once the power's back, hit the Y button and while on Camera A, look diagonally down and to the left a little until you see "RMS Arm Station". As with the EMU Calibration Unit, pair with it and turn it on for [["Data Point 63"]]( Directly above this is a document on the wall, giving you [["Data Point 50"]]( While you're here, switch to Camera B and pair with the laptop slightly upwards from your starting position for [["Data Point 16"]](

Continue onward to EAS-03 "Helix", and once again, Camera B
