Complete Observation Part II (2) walkthrough, including finding barcodes, using the combine data mechanic, and fixing hatch clamps.
Walkthrough
- 1Click on any of the modules and trigger-click on the Hull Contacts, regardless of their "True" or "False" status.
- 2Progress is made by interacting with either module UN-01 or EAS-03.
- 3After Emma finishes, she will indicate that you need to go outside. She will mention barcodes in EAS-11 "Soteria". These are yellow, orange, and red pieces of paper with boxes on them, not grocery store barcodes.
- 4Your sphere starts in EAS-09 "Spheres", and EAS-11 is adjacent.
- 5If the two space suits are facing right-side-up, the barcodes are located past the one on the right.
- 6To the right of the yellow barcode on top is a document detailing their functions ([Data Point 51]). The barcodes themselves are [Data Point 49], [Data Point 53], and [Data Point 58].
- 7Scan all three barcodes. [Data Point 72] will begin blinking.
- 8Select [Data Point 72] and press X to "Combine Data".
- 9Select the three blue data points (49, 53, and 58) by pressing X on each to create the new data point and install the necessary firmware for SAM's spacewalk. This mechanic will be used later for crew members.
- 10Proceed past the barcodes to the airlock. If the space suits are oriented correctly, the airlock controls will be on your left.
- 11Hold A to connect with the airlock controls. In order: close the internal hatch, depress, and then open the external hatch.
- 12Press B to exit the controls.
- 13Emma will mention hatch clamp controls outside EAS-03 and also wants to examine EAS-12, the module jettisoned at the start of the game.
- 14Fly towards EAS-12, located at the end of the EAS arm, amidst debris. It should be visible behind where you exited EAS-11.
- 15Enter the broken end of EAS-12 and move towards the front to find a laptop containing [Data Point 15] and an achievement.
- 16Follow the EAS arm towards the central ring to find the hatch clamp controls: a small box with a bright blue light, located in a rectangular area of modules, on one with a solar panel opposite. It is diagonal from the "EAS 3" marking.
- 17Clamps 2, 4, and 8 will be disengaged. To fix them: click on one of the disengaged clamp numbers, then click "Start Clamp Reset". Hold A, and when the ring finishes moving, immediately hold Y while still holding A. After the servo stops moving, release Y, and then release A when the ring is back in place. Repeat for the other two clamps.
- 18Emma will request a closer look at the exterior damage. Navigate to the solar panels on the side of the EAS arm.
Tips
- To navigate the outside of the station, consider the main body as a hexagon base with three arms: EAS, RUS (Russia), and CN (China). CN is the smallest, with three modules. The main body is UN (Universal).
- Module names (e.g., CN 3, EAS 7, RUS 2) are often marked on the exterior. Lower numbers are generally closer to the UN section, and higher numbers are further away.
- You can use the right trigger to boost for a limited time to increase your movement speed outside the station.
