Complete Observation Part IV (2) walkthrough, including how to get the captain's authorization code and find rescue station coordinates.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Offer Emma emotional support by trigger-clicking the large font in the middle of the screen.
  2. 2
Authenticate Emma's voice. Click "Analyse", move the stick to the right, and accept or reject the result.
  3. 3
Access the new Communication tab in your SAM OS.
  4. 4
Head to EAS-07 "Solo" to find the captain's authorization code. Cameras are not working; use the Station Alerts tab (second from the left), click it, and trigger-click ACTION: Inform Crew.
  5. 5
Once cameras are active, go to Camera C, pair with the MELFI unit to the left for [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 62}].
  6. 6
Swap back to Camera A, and scan the framed picture above the laptop on the blue desk for [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 34}].
  7. 7
Switch to Camera B to investigate the bunk. Scan the document on the wall (down and to the right) for [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 35}].
  8. 8
Connect with the left laptop for [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 6}].
  9. 9
Connect with the right laptop; you will be locked out and need a PIN. The sticky note reads "Graduation". The PIN is 2008 (referencing Jim's graduation from EASA in 2008).
  10. 10
Once inside the right laptop, trigger-click the authorization code to relay it to Emma, completing the first task.
  11. 11
Go to RUS-04 "Kerimov" to find the coordinates for communication.
  12. 12
    Engage in the call-and-response sequence:
  13. 13
First set: Camera surrounded by five boxes, stick with a lip on the right, small circle moving into a big circle (Down, A, Up).
  14. 14
Second set: Infinity symbol, cube with three branches, three cubes pointing to one cube (X, Right, Y).
  15. 15
Third set: Angle on top of a line with a box below, stack of six boxes in a pyramid, stick with a lip, camera thing (Left, B, A, Down).
  16. 16
Locate the flashing red screen and the two machines mounted into the wall to its right. Press A on each machine to turn them on.
  17. 17
Connect with the red screen. Open the Near Field image (left bumper). Use the right stick to go to the far right side of the image until you see a thick, solid line, then move down. Find the large, black, angular shadow. Continue moving the cursor until "Rescue Station" appears under "Object Data".
  18. 18
Press A, then back out with B.
  19. 19
Open the menu, go to Communication. The rescue station numbers (RA 16-14-22 and DEC 48-11-11) are in the bottom-right.
  20. 20
Click "Broadcast", and input these numbers using the cursor.
  21. 21
The middle part will now say "Broadcast Signal Router". Click on "E. Fisher", then click the "Select" box until the indicator is next to "External". Click "Broadcast".
  22. 22
When "Incoming Message Received" appears, open the menu, go to Communication. Click "Incoming", then "001: Unknown Source 1", back out, then "002: Unknown Source 2".
  23. 23
Both messages will be saved to your Memory Core as [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 54}] and [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 59}].
  24. 24
Combine Data Point 47 (found in UC-01 "Central" on Camera A on the laptop next to the Life Support Terminal if not collected in Part III) with Data Points 54 and 59 in your Memory Core to create [\includegraphics[width=0.2\textwidth]{Data Point 73}].
  25. 25
Emma will begin heading toward EAS-11 "Soteria".
  26. 26
Warning: This is a point of no return. Mop up any missed collectibles or activities before proceeding.
  27. 27
Go to EAS-09 "Spheres", connect to a sphere (Y button), and travel to EAS-11 "Soteria".
  28. 28
At EAS-11, go to the EAS Airlock Controls, close the internal hatch, depressurize, and open the external hatch.
  29. 29
Disconnect from the controls and head outside for a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically).
Tips
  • The PIN for the right laptop in EAS-07 "Solo" is derived from a graduation photo seen earlier.
  • You can hold the button down on the arrows in the Communication tab to make inputting numbers faster.
  • If you missed Data Point 47 in Part III, it can be found on a laptop in UC-01 "Central" on Camera A.
