Master Old School RuneScape mining! Learn about ore types, experience rates, required levels, and how to make money with this essential guide. Includes tips for efficient mining.
Mining is probably the most used skill in Old School RuneScape. It lets you dig up all sorts of ores, which can be a great way to make some serious cash. You'll need a pickaxe to get started, and then you just head to a mining spot and start digging!
There are two main types of rocks you'll encounter: Soft Rocks and Hard Rocks. Soft Rocks take a bit longer to respawn but they won't make you as tired as quickly. Hard Rocks, on the other hand, have a faster respawn time and are easier to get ore from, but they'll raise your fatigue level pretty fast.
Don't forget, you can take the ores you mine and smith them into bars. These bars can then be used to create all sorts of gear and items. If you want to learn more about that, you can scroll down to the Smithing Guide.
