Guide to defeating Rider Nelis and snagging the fast Shadow Sneasel in Pokémon Colosseum. Learn strategies for Corsola, Seviper, and Loudred.
Walkthrough
- 1Head to the subway station after defeating Venus.
- 2Enter the train and exit to find the Subway Key and U-Disk.
- 3Use the Subway Key to travel to the station below the Mystery Lab.
- 4Defeat the two Cipher goons and pick up the Maingate Key from the rubble.
- 5Return to The Under via the subway.
- 6The elevator to the Colosseum is now operational, but the high-level Pokémon are not recommended at this point.
- 7The U-Disk is not the ticket to the lab; it's the second Time Flute.
- 8Consider using the Time Flute on Suicune or saving it for a future Pokémon.
- 9Save your game before the next series of trainer battles.
- 10You will face four trainers, each with a Shadow Pokémon, as you descend a spiraling staircase.
- 11Trainer Battle: Hunter Frena
- Opponents: Teddiursa Lv37, Shroomish Lv35, Jigglypuff Lv36, Shadow Gligar Lv43 (#22/48)
- 12Strategy: Use Suicune's Shadow Rush to lower Gligar's HP and shadow gauge. Hypnosis can also be useful.
- 13Trainer Battle: Chaser Liaks
- Opponents: Kirlia Lv37, Roselia Lv38, Gloom Lv38, Shadow Stantler Lv43 (#23/48)
- 14Strategy: This is the toughest of the four. Use Shadow Rush carefully. Consider Surf if you have it, as its power is split with two targets. Stantler also has Take Down. Put it to sleep to prevent self-KO.
- 15In the left-side exit, find two Hyper Potions and two Timer Balls.
- 16Trainer Battle: Bodybuilder Lonia
- Opponents: Octillery Lv38, Masquerain Lv38, Dunsparce Lv39, Shadow Piloswine Lv43 (#24/48)
- 17Strategy: These Pokémon are not too tough. Avoid using Fire Blast on Piloswine. Put it to sleep, then wear it down with Shadow Rush or Bite. Reflecting with Noctowl can also help.
- 18In the upper-right corner of the bottom floor, find a chest with 4 Ultra Balls.
- 19Save your game before the final trainer battle in this area.
- 20Trainer Battle: Rider Nelis
- Opponents: Corsola Lv41, Seviper Lv40, Loudred Lv41, Shadow Sneasel Lv43 (#25/48)
- 21Strategy: Seviper can poison your team, so be prepared to cure it. Sneasel is very fast and uses Shadow Rush. Carefully lower its HP with Bite, aiming for flinches. Putting it to sleep is recommended, but watch out for Icy Wind which lowers Speed. If its HP is low and it's asleep, it should be catchable with Ultra Balls.
