- 5Dark Cave: Navigate the cave to find a Potion. The path is: north twice, east, north, west, north, east, north, east, south, west, south. Exit the cave.
- 6Route 31 (Continued): Back outside, find an Antidote to the west. South and west of there, follow the pond's shore to find a Bitter Berry. Go southeast and past the ledge to get a Poké Ball. Battle the trainer to the southwest. Head west and northwest through the grass to reach the gatehouse for Violet City.
