There are three main types of vests you'll come across, and each offers a different level of protection and storage. Knowing the difference and prioritizing which one to grab can make a huge impact.

PUBG Vests: Protection and Capacity

When you're looting, keep an eye out for two main pieces of armor: helmets and police vests. We're focusing on the vests here, but remember helmets are just as important! Each vest level gives you a percentage of damage reduction, and they can also take a beating before they break.

• Level 1 Vest: This one gives you a 30% damage reduction. It can withstand up to 80 points of damage before it's gone. It's better than nothing, but you'll want to upgrade ASAP.
• Level 2 Vest: Step up to this, and you're looking at a 40% damage reduction. It can take a much bigger hit, up to 150 points of damage, before it breaks. This is a solid mid-game armor.
• Level 3 Vest: This is the holy grail of vests. It offers a massive 55% damage reduction and can take a whopping 230 points of damage. If you find one of these, consider yourself very lucky.

How Vests Help Your Inventory

Beyond just stopping bullets, vests also give you extra carrying capacity. This is super important because inventory space is always tight in PUBG. You start with a base capacity, plus a bit more from your utility belt, but vests really open things up:

• Police Vest (Base Upgrade): This alone gives you an extra 50 capacity, bringing your total up to 120.
• Level 1 Backpack: On top of the vest, this adds +150 capacity, for a total of 270. This is enough to carry a decent amount of ammo, healing items, and a few grenades.
• Level 2 Backpack: This boosts your capacity by +200, giving you a total of 320. You can carry a lot more ammo, plenty of healing items, and more utility like grenades.
• Level 3 Backpack: The ultimate backpack, adding +250 capacity for a grand total of 370. You could practically carry an entire armory with this, but honestly, if you're filling this up, you might have a hoarding problem!

So, when you're looting, always prioritize finding a better vest and backpack. More armor means you can survive more hits, and more inventory space means you can carry more of what you actually need – like ammo, healing items, and grenades. Don't skip over them!
