Combat Fundamentals

• Master the Parry: Timing is everything. Watch your enemies' attack animations and press the parry button (usually the right trigger or equivalent) just as their strike is about to land. A successful parry will stagger your opponent, opening them up for a counter-attack.
• Dodge and Weave: Don't get cornered. Use the dodge button (usually the circle or B button) to evade attacks, especially from larger or more powerful Uruks. Dodging allows you to reposition yourself and avoid taking damage.
• Utilize Wraith Abilities: As you progress, you'll unlock powerful Wraith abilities. The Wraith Stun is invaluable for crowd control, and Wraith Drain can quickly replenish your health. use your bow for ranged attacks and to target weak points.
• Exploit Weaknesses: Every Uruk has strengths and weaknesses. Use your Intel (by interrogating or spying on Uruks) to discover these. Targeting an enemy's weakness, such as a fear of fire or a vulnerability to ranged attacks, can turn the tide of battle.
• Combat Flow: String together attacks, parries, and dodges to maintain a fluid combat rhythm. Successful combos build your Hit Streak, which can unlock special abilities and increase your damage output.

Stealth and Infiltration

• Use Cover: Mordor is filled with tall grass and rocky outcrops. Crouch and use these to your advantage to sneak up on unsuspecting Uruks.
• Silent Takedowns: From cover, you can perform silent takedowns on isolated enemies. This is a great way to thin out patrols before engaging the main force.
• Distraction: Throwing stones or using your bow to shoot at distant objects can draw the attention of Uruks, allowing you to slip past them or isolate a target.

• Collect Everything: Gather all available Mirian (currency) and Power Cells. Mirian is used to upgrade your gear, and Power Cells are crucial for unlocking new abilities.
