After the ritual, you’ll find yourself lost in Mordor, bound to an Elven Wraith. Press (R1) to “reforge” the Forge Tower. These towers act as fast-travel points, unlock missions and collectibles, and grant Mirian.

Once the tower is reforged, press the (Options) button to access the menu. Here you can equip runes, check Appendices, and view unaffordable upgrades.

Sprint forward and leap off the Forge Tower. You will transform back into Talion upon landing.

An Uruk will challenge you. Hold (L2) to enter Ranged Mode and aim your bow. Hold (L1) to draw an arrow; a longer draw deals more damage. Aiming triggers a “bullet time” slowdown effect as long as you have Focus.

Shoot down the four Uruks attacking you.

A sneakier Uruk will appear. Approach him and hold (R1) to grapple, then press (X) once to brand him and a second time to Gain Intel.

The wraith will interrogate the Uruk, revealing your first target: “Gimub the Slaver”.

After the Uruk reveals information, you will receive a tutorial on the Nemesis system.

Tips

Reforging Forge Towers provides fast travel, unlocks missions and collectibles, and grants Mirian for upgrades.
Use Ranged Mode (L2) and charge your shots (L1) for maximum damage. Most normal Uruks can be killed with a single headshot.
Grapple Uruks (R1) and brand them (X) to Interrogate them for vital information about their masters.

You will learn about the Nemesis system and receive your first target, “Gimub the Slaver”. You will also unlock the achievement/trophy “You Will Obey”.
