Find the Founders Key and Ceremonial Dagger in Silent Hill: Homecoming. Navigate Dr. Fitch's Office and the Town Hall basement.
Walkthrough
- 1After a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive scene), you will receive the Founders Key.
- 2Return to the streets of Shepherd's Glen and head east on Main Street to enter the Town Hall.
- 3Be prepared to run and roll away from monsters on the streets.
- 4Save your game at the save point in the northeast room of the Town Hall if desired.
- 5Note that Smogs (monsters) constantly respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) (reappear) in this building, so killing them may be a waste of ammo.
- 6Enter the middle room with the large podium and paintings of founding fathers.
- 7Walk behind the podium on the east end of the room and use the Founders Key when prompted.
- 8The middle portion of the floor will rise, revealing a stairway to the Town Hall basement.
- 9Move down the stairs and pick up the First Aid Kit under the archway directly ahead.
- 10Move down either the right or left tunnel; they both lead to the same place.
- 11Turn off your flashlight and enter the narrow tunnel.
- 12Be ready for three Nurses (enemies) in the large room ahead; sneak up on them and defeat them with a melee weapon.
- 13In the basement, you will find four ANCIENT BOOKS. Two are near the tunnel you entered from, and two are on the opposite wall.
- 14Examine the cross on the right side of the room to trigger a cutscene.
- 15After the cutscene, you will receive the Ceremonial Dagger, which replaces the Combat Knife.
- 16Locate a door with a slot to the side, blending into the wall between the two books across from the tunnel you entered.
- 17Walk between the two books to get an "Unlock" command.
- 18Equip the Ceremonial Dagger and use it to unlock the door.
- 19Enter the area beyond the door, make a right, follow the tunnel, and turn right again.
- 20Follow the next tunnel, and the path will split.
- 21Turn left, move forward, and follow the tunnel to the right.
- 22You will reach a four-way split. The right and straight paths are dead ends. Go right.
- 23Keep moving straight ahead, then take the second left.
- 24At the end of the tunnel, you will enter a room with a desk and a typewriter on the left.
- 25Climb up the ladder on the side wall.
- 26You will surface in one of the east mausoleums in the Founders Garden of the Rose Heights Cemetery.
- 27Turn left and take the Child's Drawing (13/18) from the left wall.
- 28Equip the Ceremonial Dagger and unlock the door to the mausoleum with it.
- 29Use the Ceremonial Dagger to unlock the mausoleum directly across from the current one.
- 30Step inside, open the medical case on the right coffin, and take the Serum (5/8).
- 31To find a Photo (9/11), backtrack to the east street outside Rose Heights Cemetery.
- 32Exit the Founder's Garden through the north gate, enter the West Garden, head north to the Parking Lot, and exit through the east gate.
- 33Move west down Main Street and go to the Missing Persons billboard.
- 34Take the Photo (9/11) from the ground in front of the right side of the billboard.
- 35To find Shotgun Ammunition and a Health Drink, backtrack to the far south portion of River View Road.
- 36Cross the bridge and pick up the items near the fence to the Junkyard. The Junkyard gate is locked.
- 37Return to the backyard of the Shepherd House via the Founders Garden of the Cemetery.
- 38Move up the stairs on the south side of the Founders Garden, head west, and drop into the pit.
- 39The opening you used before is blocked; duck under the opening on the north wall.
- 40Two Smogs will attack; defeat them with the handgun or shotgun.
- 41Run to the very end and collect the First Aid Kit and Shotgun Ammunition from the ground on the north side.
- 42Backtrack and find the opening in the west wall, then duck under it.
- 43Climb out of the pit and move through the gate.
- 44Defeat the Smog to the right with the handgun.
- 45Squeeze through the narrow hole in the wall between the tombs on the west wall to get back into one of the crypts in the Family Crypts Mid Area.
Tips
- Killing Smogs in the Town Hall is a waste of ammo as they constantly respawn.
- Aim for the glowing lungs of the Smogs when using the handgun; the shotgun offers a one-hit kill when aiming for the lungs.
