Take Back the Streets: Downtown

Your guide to the 'Take Back the Streets: Downtown' mission in Sunset Overdrive. Learn how to find and defend Fizzco flags across three zones to reclaim the city.

Alright, so after you've dealt with that whole Concertpocalypse mess, you'll unlock the 'Take Back the Streets: Downtown' mission. This is the first of four of these kinds of missions, and they all kick off from your base at the Theatre Downtown. Just head over to the spinning quest marker there to get started.

When you start the mission, pull up your map. You'll see three marked zones. Your job is to hit each of these, find a Fizzco flag chilling on a rooftop within the zone, and interact with it. Once you activate it, you'll have to defend it from incoming enemies for about 30 seconds. If enemies manage to damage the flag, the timer resets, and you'll have to interact with it again to restart the defense.

Let's break down what you'll run into in each zone:

• West Zone – This flag is perched on top of the Fizzco Centre building. You'll first have to deal with some Rifle Bots guarding it. After you activate the flag, expect a mix of Blade and Rifle Bots to show up. A good strategy here is to keep the flag behind you and focus on the ramp – it makes it easier to pick off enemies before they get too close.
• Central Zone – You'll find this flag on the roof of the building marked by the blue search area. Clear out the initial group of Rifle Bots first. Then, after you raise the flag, it's all about fending off waves of Blade Bots until the timer runs out. They tend to come one after another, so stay sharp.
• East Zone – This one's located on the roof of the building directly across from the Hospital (that's the Las Catrinas base). You'll start by taking out some Rifle Bots. Once the flag is up, get ready for Blade Bots, regular OD enemies, and Poppers.

After you've successfully defended the third flag, the mission will wrap up.
