Complete walkthrough for Super Mario Sunshine Part 19, covering the Pinna Park secret shine, Yoshi-go-round red coins, 100 coin challenge, and all blue coin locations.

This guide covers secrets and challenges within Pinna Park in Super Mario Sunshine, including a secret shine, red coin challenges, and blue coin locations.

PINNA PARK SECRET SHINE: THE YOSHI-GO-ROUND'S RED COINS

Enter Pinna Park, acquire Yoshi, turn him orange, and enter the bonus stage. Navigate the spinning platforms and ground pound the red switch. Time is not a major concern for this secret shine; you can finish with over 25 minutes remaining.

  1. Make your way to a blue Yoshi block, ride through the first red coin, then hop to a black Yoshi block for the second red coin.
  2. Quickly jump to another blue Yoshi block and proceed to the next safe spot.
  3. Get on an orange block, ride it briefly, then ignore the next moving orange block. Hover to the other side and backflip onto the next level.
  4. Backflip onto the center of a wall and wall jump to the top. You will collect two red coins during these wall jumps.
  5. Ascend an orange block that moves up and down. Wait for it to reach its peak, then backflip into the fifth red coin.
  6. Jump to the platform with the shine, but do not collect it. Locate a brick block atop an ice cube block, atop a watermelon block, atop an orange block. Jump onto the brick block to collect the sixth red coin.
  7. Descend to the level below the shine platform. Hover to it to collect the seventh red coin.
  8. Jump the gap on this same level to find the eighth red coin. One red coin is located under the tall orange blocks before the shine block, and the other is below the orange blocks at the top of the wall jumping section.

The shine appears at the top of the wall jumping section, on the side that leads to nowhere.

100 COINS AT PINNA PARK

Select episode 8 to complete this challenge without needing to enter the park itself.

  • Flying Underwear-Wearing Things: Approximately 50 coins can be obtained from these enemies scattered across the beach. Jump on them, lure them into ground pounds, or spray them with water to make them low enough to jump on. Each defeated enemy yields five coins.
  • Sunflowers: You can get one coin from spraying the faces of regular sunflowers. Watering the face of the large sunflower can yield up to three coins.
  • Sand: Spraying the sand on the beach can produce coins and fruit. This method can yield a large number of coins. The shine appears on the path leading to the park once 100 coins are collected.

PINNA PARK BLUE COINS

Pinna Park contains a total of 30 blue coins: 10 on the beach and 20 within the park. All beach blue coins can be collected in episode 2 (Yoshi required), and all park blue coins in episode 6 (Yoshi required).

~BEACH BLUE COINS~

  • #1-6 Baskets: These can only be obtained in episode 2. Six baskets are located on the beach and grass, each containing a blue coin. They are upside-down, and the coins are only accessible by making the baskets explode using Bullet Bills. If a black/gold Bullet Bill does not hit a basket, use a purple one, as they home in.
  • #7 & 8 Blue Butterflies: Once Yoshi is unlocked, a Yoshi egg can be found under a tree on the beach. Spray the sand until a fruit appears and feed Yoshi his preferred fruit. With Yoshi, locate two blue butterflies in the sunflower area and eat them for a blue coin each.
  • #9 Shine in the Sand (1): Spray the sand between the central beach tree (where the Yoshi egg is) until a
