Foil an Ambush

Learn how to trigger and complete the 'Foil an Ambush' skit and questline in Tales of Berseria Remastered, including all required skits and locations.

Alright, so you've just exited the tavern and you're looking to trigger the skit called Foil an Ambush. It's pretty straightforward! First things first, head back to Danann Highway. You'll want to go to the exact spot where you previously fought that big Orc Kong. A scene will play out there.

After that scene, you'll need to take care of three Gibbon enemies. Once they're dealt with, you'll get a couple more skits: The Reason Behind the Ambush and Three Jobs Complete. Keep an eye out for the skit I Will Be of Help right after that.

Next up, it's time to head back to Loegres. Once you arrive, another skit, No Misdeed Left Undone, will pop up. After that, make your way back to the tavern. You'll get a scene there that properly introduces you to Tabatha and the Bloodwing Butterflies. This will also trigger the skit Stomach Growling.

Don't wander off just yet! After a few seconds, the skit Shadow Trades should appear. Once that's done, chat with Tabatha again, and then speak to the bartender. After a cutscene and the skit Magilou Joins, you're ready for the next step. Head towards the grand cathedral and find the guard who's marked on your map. Talk to them, and they'll let you into the secret tunnel that leads to the villa.
