Learn about difficulty settings in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, including enemy stat changes and Grade multipliers for Easy, Normal, Hard, and Unknown.

Difficulties:

  • Easy: Enemy stats are reduced to 0.7x their normal values. Grade is not awarded after battles. Some bosses will not use their powerful Mystic Artes on this setting.
  • Normal: This is the default setting for the game.
  • Hard: Enemy HP is multiplied by 2.5x, and their attack stats are multiplied by 1.2x. You will receive 1.5x the Grade after a battle compared to Normal.
  • Unknown: Accessible only on New Game+ after purchasing it in the Grade Shop. Enemy HP is multiplied by 5x, physical attack stats by 3.5x, magic attack stats by 3x, and defense stats by 2.5x. Grade after a battle is multiplied by 2x.
Tips
  • The 'Unknown' difficulty is only accessible on New Game+ after purchasing it in the Grade Shop.
  • Setting the difficulty to 'Easy' can prevent certain bosses from using their Mystic Artes.
