Master Heliord in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition! Learn about crucial side quests like Endless Heart, Wonder Reporter, and Drake, plus important story beats.

Alright, after all those scenes wrap up, you'll find yourself in Heliord. The first thing you'll want to do is check out a little something called the Wonder Chef: Part 4. Just examine that strange object in the back of the room, and bam! You'll learn the Fish With Miso Sauce recipe. Pretty neat, huh?

Now, head south out of that room. You'll trigger another scene, and then you'll want to find Flynn. He's chilling to the west nearby. Chat with him, and then try to head into the Inn. This is actually a tutorial battle where you'll learn about Burst Artes – don't worry, it's pretty straightforward. Once that's done, head inside the Inn and book a room. Gotta rest up!

After your stay, go check out the really tall blastia smack-dab in the middle of the city. More scenes will play out. Then, it's back to the Chevaliers' HQ to chat with Flynn again. More scenes will follow, and then you'll need to find Karol in the hallway. After that, pop back to the room where Rita and Estelle are for yet another scene. Finally, make your way back to that central blastia for the last scene in this sequence.

Before we jet off, there are a few important side quests you absolutely don't want to miss in Heliord. Seriously, some of these are missable!

Heliord Side Quests

• Endless Heart: Okay, this one is SUPER important. You need to buy Rita's weapon, 'Endless Heart,' from the shop right now. This weapon is notorious for being missed, and if you don't grab it here, it's gone forever. You'll miss out on essential skills and Collector's Book entries. I highly recommend buying one to keep as is and a second one if you're aiming for 100% completion, as you'll want one for synthesis later.
• Wonder Reporter: Part 1: Just examine the wall to the right of the Inn. Easy peasy.
• Drake: Part 1: Find the man standing near the blastia and talk to him to kick this off.
• Hatchet: Part 1: Head into the Chevaliers' HQ, and you'll trigger a scene that starts this.
• Miscellaneous: Don't forget to stay at the Inn; it triggers a scene.

Caer Bocram Side Quest

• Mysterious Man: Part 2: This one's a bit out of the way. Exit Heliord to the right and head back to Caer Bocram. Once you're there, take the left path at the first fork, and you'll find the mysterious man.

Got all that? Good! Now, head back to Heliord and leave the town to the left. On the World Map, follow the path that hugs the water, and you'll eventually reach Dahngrest. Let's keep moving!
