Complete Tomb Raider II Living Quarters walkthrough. Find 2 Trophies, 21 Kills, and 16 Pickups including the Silver Dragon secret.
Walkthrough
- 1Swim through the opening, then in a counterclockwise semicircle to find a switch on the wall. Throw it, roll, swim to the opening ahead, and pull up inside.
- 2Face left, jump into the next blue area and back again to trigger a club guy (1). Eliminate him and pick up the small Medi Pack (1) he drops.
- 3Head into the piston room, hang left and run quickly to the far end. A shotgun guy is above you but will be easier to deal with later.
- 4Pull over the barrier, run straight into the windy twisty hallway and into the pit at its end. You will be confronted by three enemies: first a wrenchman (2) that you can defeat by backhopping; then a shotgun guy (3) that you can Run and Roll (stay out of the intersecting hallway ahead as it is booby trapped); and finally a guy with a club (4) who appears when you venture into the hallway. Roll into the hallway to trigger the barrels, then run all the way to the back of the pit. The club guy will follow, giving you time to defeat him. Pick up the harpoons (2) and the automatic pistol clips (3).
- 5Proceed into the next room carefully due to more rolling barrels. Go left to the high side of the ramp and do a running jump/grab to the crevice. Shimmy right and drop down past the burners to throw a switch, shutting them off.
- 6Rotate left, pull up into the opening just left of the switch, and go right. Pull up into the area above the ladder, go to the end of the hall to the right, and throw a switch that changes the positions of the pistons. Drop down the hole to return to the piston room.
- 7Pull up onto the barrier to your right, rotate left, and do a standing jump/grab to the first piston. Another standing jump/grab will get you to the second piston. A standing jump will get you to the third piston, and a standing jump/grab will get you on the fourth.
- 8Make a running jump to the right to get Secret #1 -- Silver Dragon (4). Save your game.
- 9The most direct way forward is to do a running jump/grab to the platform ahead; the jump is tricky and requires precise aiming at the closer (left) half of the platform without bending your jump.
- 10When you arrive, pull up quickly as a guy with a shotgun (5) is coming. Run and Roll him, then grab the automatic pistols ammo (5) he was carrying.
- 11Go to the end of the hall and push the movable box 3 times. The first push reveals a hole in the floor to the left, and the third push reveals a short hallway to the left. Take that hallway to the left, and you'll run into another box. Push it once to expose the hole in the floor you saw earlier.
- 12Return clockwise to the first box and pull it back twice. Do a standing jump/grab across the hole in the floor and run around to the space where the first block was. There on the ground, you'll find 2 sets of shotgun shells (6, 7).
- 13Now drop down the hole in the floor to return to the switch that moved the pistons. Throw that switch again to return the pistons to their original positions. Pull up and make your way back to the place where you entered this area from the first Secret.
- 14Get across the pistons with a standing jump; a standing jump/grab; and a running jump/grab over the third piston and all the way to the last one.
- 15Turn right and do a running jump/grab to the right side of the ledge with the switch. Throw the switch. To return safely to the ground, do a running jump back to the last piston, then do a standing jump from there to the flat top of the barrier to the right.
- 16Go back to the pit, which is now full of water. Swim ahead to the barrels, go left, and when you get back to the burner room, make a U-turn right and throw the switch up on the wall.
- 17Go back to the pit, then swim through the door you just opened. Lure the frogman (6) back to the pit area, where you can climb out and defeat him. Wait for him with Lara's right side against the wall closest to where the frogman will emerge, about one step back from the water's edge and rotated slightly counterclockwise. From here, you should be able to target him.
Tips
- In New Game+, you may not need any Medi Packs. Ammo drops can be scarce, but your inventory should remain relatively stable.
- Enemies with clubs and wrenches may require premium ammo, while most gunmen can be handled with pistols.
- Lara does not lose health when her feet are dangling above the burners, but she does lose health if standing near them.
- The frogman can be lured back to the pit area for an easier fight.
