Walkthrough

    Climb the stairs to the top and make a standing jump diagonal left to the square with the cross-shaped statue. Turn around, make a standing jump/grab to the climbable wall, and make your way to the bottom.

    You are in a room with a deep pit. To the north, south, east, and west are 4 paths, each leading to a Poseidon statue. You can complete these in any order.

    First Statue--North Path: Face east, turn around, and enter the opening in the middle of the north wall. Follow the path north, then east. As you head north, 2 skeletons will appear. If you run forward and drop into the recessed area, you can wait until the skeletons are close together and take them both out with one exploding arrow (NG+1901).

    Go to the opening in the SE corner of the recessed area. Enter the crawl space for Secret #49 -- a small medipack (pickup #308) and crossbow arrows (pickup #309).

    Back out of the crawl space and pull up one level.

    Go through the opening to the north, where a large face carving is sticking its tongue out. Drop into the central trench, crawl north under the face carving, and pull up at the far end. Shoot the 3 vessels (pickups #81-83) in front of you and pick up the Uzi clips (pickup #310) from one of them.

    Turn right but stop and Save before entering the room with the next 4 vessels (pickups #84-87). (NG+1902)

    In this room, be aware of black circles on the floor which are burners that light up if you get too near. You can walk safely around them.

    When you get close to the bronze-colored vessel in the back, the burners will all come on and 2 skeletons will appear among them.

    Carefully navigate to the indicated spot. Equip your crossbow with exploding ammo and face back towards the opening. Hop back, igniting the burners, and blast the skeletons. One arrow should kill both enemies, break all 4 vessels, and expose the concealed loot: red shotgun shells (pickup #311), blue shotgun shells (pickup #312), and crossbow ammo (pickup #313). Check your inventory to ensure the loot appeared.

    Carefully navigate back through the opening and go right into the room with the statue. Hop across the water and interact with the statue to place the first Trident. This will flood some low-lying areas with water.

    Go south and swim through the now-flooded crawl space. Pull out in the room with the face carving (now with tongue retracted), continue south, pass through the square room (which now has a square pool), and descend the stairs to return to the room with the deep pit.

    Second Statue -- West Path: Rotate right and enter the room to the west with another stone face. In the SE corner is an elevated crawl space, access to which is protected by an unlit burner underneath. Stand with Lara's right arm against the west wall so she is facing the opening. Walk back as far as possible, then do a running jump/grab to the opening without setting off the burner.
Tips
  • This level contains 12 kills, not including 3 air wraiths that cannot be defeated. Your most likely kill total will be 10, as 2 skeletons can be ignored.
  • Dodge all skeletons rather than waste exploding ammo unless you are having a tough time getting past an area.
  • The level is short and straightforward, requiring you to find 4 Poseidon statues and place a Trident on each.
  • The statues are easy to find and enemies offer little resistance.
  • The one Trophy in this level can be done on the first try.
  • Loot and vessels are easy to find.
  • After completing the statues, you must find your way back to Jean-Yves. This side trip is through familiar territory.
