Kong is a character in Ultimate Spider-Man, known by his alias King Kong. His real name is Clifford Harlan. He is a high school student with no secret identity. He was born in Queens, New York, and has parents. He is not affiliated with any groups and has no base of operations. Kong first appeared in Ultimate Spider-Man #1.

Kong is described as being similar to Baby Huey – not very bright but physically large and strong for his age. He is a follower, readily adopting suggestions from his best friend, Flash Thompson. Despite his admiration for Peter Parker, Kong is one of Spider-Man's biggest fans and supporters. He was present when Spider-Man made his debut in the wrestling ring, defeating Crusher Hogan.

In a moment of insight, Kong deduced that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. When others dismissed his theory, Kong attempted to ambush Peter in the school hallway to prove his point. However, Peter's spider-sense alerted him to the impending attack. To discredit Kong's theory, Peter feigned being hurt and defeated by Kong.
