Flash back to Peter being injected by Toomes with a formula designed to make the microscopic elements of the Venom suit rejoin the original mass, causing painful headaches.

Understand that being near Venom was killing Spidey while making Venom feel good, as Peter's liver felt like it was trying to crawl out.

Witness Toomes' plan to inject Peter with a formula that excites the particles, drawing them to the surface and creating a version of Carnage.

Observe Venom absorbing the Peter/Carnage entity and spitting Peter out, completing Venom and giving him control of the suit.

Note that Venom now has the classic white spider logo, which appears only after he is completed.
