In Ultimate Spider-Man, the time of day does not change dynamically during gameplay as it does in Spider-Man 2. Instead, the time of day is determined by the current story mode mission.

Once you have completed the story mode of the game, you gain the ability to manually cycle through the available times of day. This is achieved by switching between playing as Spider-Man and playing as Venom.
