Richard Parker

Richard Parker, also known as Ray, was a doctor in New York City specializing in cellular reconstruction. He had no secret identity and no known living relatives other than his son, Peter Parker. He was not affiliated with any groups and had no base of operations.

Richard Parker, along with Eddie Brock Sr., worked on developing a cure for cancer. Due to insufficient funding, they partnered with Bolivar Trask, which led to the creation of the Venom suit. Trask later stole this invention for military research. To prevent its misuse, Richard Parker attempted to destroy the suit, but Eddie Brock Sr. managed to keep a final sample. Richard Parker and his wife tragically died in a mysterious plane crash.

Richard Parker is credited with coining the phrase, "With great power comes great responsibility," and also stated that one must never be more or less than they should be.

Despite his high intelligence, Richard Parker possessed no superpowers.
