A Warm Welcome

Begin by walking with Caterina and Machiavelli towards the Forli gates.

After a brief conversation, a mob of people will run past, followed by soldiers.

Run towards the gates where you will be ambushed by soldiers. You have allies assisting you, making this fight relatively easy.

Proceed to the gate for a short conversation, after which Ezio will begin his infiltration mission. Follow the yellow marker to your right.

You will see a platform on the water near the city walls where a battle is occurring. Swim or take a boat to join the fight. Many enemies will be preoccupied, allowing for easy takedowns, especially with the Sword of Altair.

Since there is no direct entrance from here, head west. Follow a path made of small posts and beams around the city perimeter to an opening.

Drop into the water and swim underneath the gate.

Upon entering, you will encounter more fighting. Make your way to the front gate. You can choose to ignore the combat or engage the soldiers to assist the Forli guards.

When you reach the gate, you need to climb to the top of the wall. A ladder to the right of the gate can be used.

At the top of the wall, there are two guards. You can perform a double air assassination from the hanging wires.

After dealing with the guards, interact with the gate mechanism to allow Caterina and Machiavelli to enter.
