- 1Follow Mario and his mercenaries to the city walls.
- 2Climb the wall while the mercenaries distract the guards at the gate.
- 3Select throwing knives from the inventory wheel (R2).
- 4Target and eliminate the three archers on the rooftops near the gate with throwing knives.
- 5Interact with the lever near the gate.
- 6Help Mario and the mercenaries by slaying the guards outside the gate.
- 7Head inside with the mercenaries.
- 8Guide a group of mercenaries toward the guards by targeting them and pressing Triangle to send them into battle.
- 9Duel the remaining guards, using instant kills on those with their backs to you and countering others.

- 12Head to the new destination to find Mario under attack.

- 16Move toward the yellow marker. You will need to climb a roof, so mercenaries are not needed.
- 17Help Mario by defeating the guards at the site of the next big fight. You may become Notorious again.
- 18Climb the wall and then up to the guard tower where Vieri is.
- 19Duel Vieri and his guards. Focus on Vieri when possible, using counters frequently.
- 20Defeat Vieri to complete the mission.
