Your guide to Assassin's Creed Odyssey's 'The Big Break' quest. Learn how to find a boat, defeat the Cyclops, and recruit Barnabas.

Alright, so you've got the assassination quest from Elpenor, and the first thing you need is a boat. Head over to the shipbuilder in Sami. Now, he's going to try and get a lot of drachmae out of you – 100,000, to be exact. He won't budge on the price, but he *will* give you a tip: the Cyclops is hanging out in Kleptous Bay on the Pronnoi Peninsula, and so is his ship. Good to know!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Make your way to Kleptous Bay. As you get close, definitely use Ikaros to scout ahead. Get a good look at how many bad guys there are and where the Cyclops is chilling.
  2. 2
Now, you can sneak through the camp and take out the enemies however you like. Once you get close to the Cyclops, a cutscene will kick in, and bam! You're in the middle of a fight.
  3. 3
After you've dealt with the Cyclops and his goons, look around for a ship captain tied up. That's Barnabas. Untie him, and he'll take you to his ship, the Adrestia. He'll introduce you to the crew, and guess what? The ship is yours now, with Barnabas as your captain.
  4. 4
Finally, head back to Sami Harbor to check out your new ride. Have a quick chat with Barnabas, say goodbye to Phoibe and Markos, and a cutscene will wrap things up. Quest complete!
Tips
  • When scouting with Ikaros, pay close attention to enemy patrols and the Cyclops's exact position. This will help you plan your approach.
  • You don't have to fight every single enemy in the camp before engaging the Cyclops. Focus on clearing a path or taking out key threats if you prefer a more direct approach.
  • Barnabas is a key ally. Make sure you speak with him after freeing him to ensure you get the Adrestia and its crew.
