Guide to completing the 'Unearthing the Truth' quest in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Learn how to find evidence against Kleon and expose his cult ties.

Alright, so you've got a plan to take down Kleon, and it all starts with a chat with Sokrates at Perikles's place. He wants you to dig up some dirt on Kleon's connection to the cult. Don't just go straight for the kill, though – you need that evidence!

First things first, head to the Akropolis right in the middle of Greater Athens. Look for the Statue of Athena. Once you're there, whip out Ikaros and have him scout around. He'll help you pinpoint the exact building you need – it's the one right next to the statue and it's crawling with guards. Your best bet is to sneak in from the south side. You'll find a chest in the back garden that looks like it's been recently disturbed. Inside that chest is your first piece of evidence. Now, head into the house itself. You'll find the shovel used to dig up the chest, and in the front room, a note. This note will point you towards the key you need, which is held by a commander named Phaelos.

You'll find Phaelos patrolling around the front of the Parthenon. Your best move here is to get up on top of the Parthenon and take him out from above. Once he's dealt with, loot his body for the key. Now you can head back to that locked chest you found earlier and grab the proof you need.

With the evidence in hand, it's time to meet Sokrates. He'll be waiting for you at the Pynx, which is southwest of your current location. Once you join him, you'll both make a speech. To get the best outcome, make sure you pick these dialogue options:

  • “Of course I’m not!”
  • “People with expertise know better.”
  • “I’d find someone new.”

After the speech, you'll get a little cutscene with Sokrates, and that'll wrap up this quest.
