Struggling to find Elpenor in Assassin's Creed Odyssey's 'Snake in the Grass' quest? Follow this guide to locate the Snake Temple and take down his guards.

Alright, so you've dealt with Elpenor's goons, nice work! Now the real hunt begins for Elpenor himself. The quest log isn't exactly screaming his location, but remember what the Wolf of Sparta said? "Beware the snakes in the grass." That's a dead giveaway: Elpenor is hiding out in the Valley of the Snake.

You'll find this valley to the east of Kirrha, and if you're coming from Desphina Fort, it's northeast of there. Don't worry about pinpointing it on the map just yet – as you get close, the valley will reveal itself, and you'll be able to spot the Snake Temple where Elpenor's chilling.

Quick tip: If you're heading that way, you might as well clear out Desphina Fort on your route. It's a good chunk of XP and loot on the way to your main objective.

Before you rush into the temple grounds, make sure to sync up with the viewpoint just southwest of it. Once that's done, head towards the temple. As you get closer, whip out Ikaros and do a quick recon sweep. Tag any enemies you spot so you know what you're up against.

Now, here's a sneaky approach: climb down the side of the cliff the temple is perched on. From down there, you can whistle to lure guards over to the edge. When they're close enough, hit 'em with an assassination and send them tumbling off the cliff. You can do this for any guard near the edge, which will seriously thin out the opposition before you even step foot inside. Once you've tossed enough guards off, climb back up. Keep low and move stealthily towards the remaining enemies. Remember to keep an eye on your surroundings to make sure you stay hidden while you take them out from behind.
