Follow our guide to complete the 'Home Sweet Home' quest in Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Chapter 7. Help Myrrine, battle bandits, and make your way back to your childhood home.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, you'll need to make your way to the village of Gytheion. To do this, simply sail your ship, the Adrestia, into the bay located south of Lakonia.
- 2Once you dock, you'll find your mother, Myrrine, waiting for you near the harbour. Speak with her to kick off the 'Home Sweet Home' quest.
- 3After a bit of dialogue, you'll need to follow Myrrine through the village. Keep your eyes peeled, as you'll soon stumble upon a fight between some local Spartan soldiers and a group of particularly nasty bandits.
- 4Jump into the fray and help the soldiers! These bandits might not be heavily armored, but their fire arrows are no joke. Your best bet is to pay close attention to when they're about to fire, dodge out of the way, and then rush in for a strong melee attack. If you've invested in archery skills, the multiple shot ability can also take them down pretty quickly.
- 5Once the bandits are dealt with, hop back on your mount and continue following Myrrine.
- 6Your journey will eventually lead you to a cliff edge – a spot where Myrrine used to teach you spear combat. Below, you'll see children training by fighting wolves. You have the option to intervene and help the kids, but be warned: this will likely anger the Spartan trainers. Even if you help, the children might not make it. It's generally best to listen to Myrrine and keep moving. If you *do* choose to help, Myrrine will have to smooth things over with the trainers. Don't worry too much, though, as your choice here won't actually affect the main story's progression.
- 7Keep following Myrrine until you finally reach your childhood home. Take a moment here to reflect with your mother.
- 8Engage in the dialogue with Myrrine. After your heartfelt chat, Brasidas will show up. He'll discuss how you can make your return to Sparta smoother with the kings, and then the quest will wrap up.
Tips
- When fighting the bandits, prioritize dodging their fire arrows. Getting hit by those can really sting!
- If you're struggling with the bandits, consider using your archery skills, especially the multiple shot ability, to take them out from a distance.
- The choice to help the children fighting wolves has no impact on the main quest, so don't stress too much about it.
- XP and Drachmae (amount varies by level)
