Conan Exiles: Find Snake Eggs and Tame Cobras

In Conan Exiles, obtaining a snake involves finding Cobra Eggs, as Giant Snakes are DLC pets. Normal snakes, Cobras, do not have hatchlings following them. You must locate their nests, which are small and often unguarded by adult Cobras. Be cautious, as Cobras are fast and can inflict poison.

Once you find a Snake Egg, it will hatch in your inventory when its decay timer expires, yielding a Cobra Hatchling. To tame it, place the hatchling in an Animal Pen with meat. There are two Cobra variants: the standard Cobra and the Cobra Alpha. The table below shows their stats:

The chance of getting a Cobra Alpha depends on the meat fed to the hatchling. Using Shadespiced Perfect Cut of Meat in the Animal Pen gives a 30% chance for a Cobra Alpha. Both Cobra types have ten inventory slots. Standard Cobras have a max strength bonus of 7%, while Cobra Alphas have a max strength bonus of 52%. Cobras can level up to 20, with stat gains determined by RNG. Food can provide small stat boosts.

Cobras are not ideal traveling companions due to their weakness compared to other pets. However, they are effective base defenders, especially when placed in single rooms. Their quick attacks inflict poison damage, making a line of Cobras a nasty surprise for raiders.

How to Get a Giant Snake

Giant Snakes are exclusive to the Sorcerous Pet Food from the Age of War: Chapter 2 Battle Pass. Feeding this item to a Cobra can result in a Giant Snake, Giant Snake Alpha, or Greater Giant Snake.
