Farm Star Metal Ore in conan exiles by mining meteors or dismantling weapons. Meteor showers occur hourly in specific locations.

Star Metal Ore in conan exiles is primarily obtained from mining meteors that fall during meteor shower events, which occur roughly once per hour. Alternatively, you can acquire it by dismantling weapons dropped by certain enemies, particularly Cimmerians.

Meteor Shower Locations:

• Exiled Lands: Meteor showers occur in the snowy region of the Northwest, specifically northeast of the Mounds of the Dead, around Frostneedle Forest.
• Isle of Siptah: Meteor showers happen around The Tower at the center of the isle. This area is also subject to the Maelstrom event.

How to Mine Meteors:

1. Witness a meteor shower and locate the fallen meteors.
2. Destroy the dark metal exterior of the meteor using an explosive. Recommended explosives include Explosive Jars, Exploding Traps, Explosive Arrows, or Demon-fire Orbs. Note that explosions may need to be very close to crack the exterior.
3. Once the exterior is broken, use a Tier 4 or higher pickaxe to mine the revealed blue Star Metal ore.

How to Make Explosives:

• Explosive Jars: Requires a Construction Hammer, 1 Earthenware Jug, 5 Tar, and 1 Dragon Powder. Tar is a byproduct of Hide at the Tannery. Dragon Powder is crafted at the Firebowl Cauldron using 2 Demon Blood, 10 Brimstone, 50 Crystals, and 100 Steelfire.
• Explosive Arrows: Crafted at a Carpenter’s Bench using 1 Ironhead Arrow, 5 Tar, 1 Dragonpowder, and 4 Feathers. This is recommended over Explosive Jars as 1 Dragon Powder yields 10 arrows (10 explosives).

The Hardened Steel Pick or Black Ice Pick are recommended due to the relative ease of obtaining their materials.

Obtaining Star Metal from Enemies:

• Cimmerian enemies, particularly those found near the Mounds of the Dead in the Exiled Lands, have a high chance of dropping weapons that contain Star Metal.
• Dismantle these weapons at a dismantling bench to recover approximately 40% of their materials, including Star Metal bars.
• Frost Giants no longer drop Star Metal; they primarily yield Black Ice and Ice.

How to Make Star Metal Bars:

• Combine Star Metal ore, Black Ice, and Brimstone.
• Crafting takes approximately 20 seconds per bar.
