Bouquet's bestiary

Alright, so Bouquet's Bestiary is one of those side-quests that pops up after you've freed her. Basically, she's a total bookworm and wants to catalog every single enemy (UMA) in the game. She'll send you a letter that looks like a math problem, but don't sweat it – it's just her quirky way of saying she wants you to fill out this in-game encyclopedia of monsters.

When you first get the UMA book from her, it'll already have some entries filled out because, well, you've been fighting stuff already. To get new entries, you just need to fight an enemy you've never encountered before. If you just play the game normally and patiently, you'll eventually fill up almost all of it, with 52 out of 53 entries being pretty straightforward.

The real pain is finding the Okamemask. This guy is a total ghost, appearing randomly near Skull Plains Lake, and only at night. He's basically a reaper wearing a Japanese theater mask. Just keep circling the area at night, and eventually, you'll spot him. Seriously, one arrow is all it takes to add him to your book, but finding him is the challenge.

Final UMA: Gold Escargoo

Once you're down to just one entry left in your book (entry #21), Bouquet will hit you up with another quest. This time, it's for the very last enemy in the game: the Gold Escargoo. She'll give you another cryptic note, but the gist is you need to head to the Bony Tunnel.

Here's the plan: head into the Bony Tunnel. You'll find a spot that looks like it can be dug into. Go ahead and dig it open – it'll reveal an opening in the wall. Squeeze through that opening into the end of the cave. Inside, you'll find a bunch of regular Escargoos. Your job is to clear them all out. Once the area is free of the regular guys, a shiny Gold Escargoo will appear.

This Gold Escargoo is pretty zippy, moving as fast as Onii Metals, but don't worry too much. It's not a super tough fight, especially with your troops. It does have a habit of stopping right in front of you before it attacks, so you can kind of anticipate it. If you're worried about taking too much damage, stick to using your hunters – they're usually the safest bet for this particular enemy.

After you finally take down the Gold Escargoo, you'll pop out of the Bony Tunnel, and guess who's waiting for you? Yep, Bouquet! She'll express some concern, mentioning her calculations predicted a high chance of danger. She'll be super pleased that you proved her wrong and managed to gather 100% of the UMA data. Her final words to you? You're awesome! As a reward for your troubles, you'll get a piece of Great Stationary, specifically a Fountain Pen, which is worth a hefty 1,320,000 Bol.
