    The Chase Begins: Start chasing him up the mountain. He's pretty fast, and you'll reach a point where he starts jumping between three different paths in a repeating cycle.

    Don't Chase Him Directly: Here's the crucial part – don't even bother trying to chase Sauvage yourself. You'll never catch up to him, no matter how hard you try.

    The Soldier Trick: Instead, let him get onto the middle path. Position yourself on the slope to the left. Now, send one of your soldiers to intercept him.

    Position Yourself: As soon as you've sent your soldier, quickly run up the slope to the highest path. Find the left vertical burn mark and stand on it.
