Continue your journey in Dark Souls III's Cemetery of Ash. Learn how to defeat the Grave Wardens, find crucial items like the East-West Shield, and prepare for Firelink Shrine.

Alright, you've just taken down Iudex Gundyr – nice job! Now, head through those double doors right after his arena. You'll see a Broken Straight Sword right in front of you. Grab it, it's a solid starter weapon.

Now, look to your left. There's a ledge you can take. It leads to a couple of Grave Wardens and a Homeward Bone. Snag that, then head up the stairs. Be careful up there – two more Grave Wardens are chilling near some tombstones, and there's another one with a crossbow hiding nearby. Don't get caught off guard!

Backtrack a little and check the right edge of the cliff. You'll spot a Grave Warden looking out at the view. This is your chance for a sweet backstab! Get him, then kick him off the ledge for good measure. Keep heading up the steps.

Straight ahead, you'll see an archway. That's your ticket to Firelink Shrine, but don't rush in just yet. Veer off to the right, down a little path. You'll find a Starved Hound and an Ember. Grab that Ember – it'll give you a nice temporary health boost.

Head back towards the front of the Firelink Shrine entrance and keep going to the other side of the area. Look for the first set of stairs you can climb. At the top, you'll find the East-West Shield. Grab it, then turn around. We're almost ready to head into the shrine itself.
