Cathedral of the Deep

Alright, so you've made it to the Cathedral of the Deep! It's a pretty iconic area, and honestly, it can be a bit of a maze if you're not sure where to go. Don't worry, I've got your back. We're going to take this step-by-step, just like always.

First things first, head to the Crystal Sage bonfire. You know, the one you found back in the Road of Sacrifices? From there, take the path leading uphill. Keep your eyes peeled to the left – you should spot a ledge. There's a Crystal Lizard chilling there, so try to get a good plunging attack on it to snag some Twinkling Titanite. After that, drop down and hug the corner; there's another Crystal Lizard waiting for you, also dropping Twinkling Titanite. Gotta grab that upgrade material!

Now, follow the main path. You'll eventually drop down behind a Cathedral Evangelist. Be careful, there's a Hollow Manservant lurking on the other side, so be ready for it. Keep moving along the path, and you'll see some more Crystal Lizards off to the left – definitely worth checking out. On the right side, near some fire, you'll find the Herald Armor Set. It's guarded by an Evangelist, so be prepared for a fight.

You'll come to a stone bridge. It looks like it leads straight to the Cathedral and a bonfire, but we're going to take a detour. Instead of crossing, veer right. You'll drop off a small ledge, and this path will lead you to an area overlooking the main stairs. From here, you can get a good view of the enemies below. If you've got ranged attacks or magic, now's the time to use them! You can pick off at least one of the two unkindled soldiers down there to get a Spider Shield. After you've done that, keep following this little detour. You'll find a ledge with a Crest Shield on it. Pretty neat, right? Once you've grabbed everything, head back to the bonfire to refresh yourself before heading into the main Cathedral area.
