Alright, you've made it to the Cathedral of the Deep! This next section can be a bit tricky, so let's break it down. After you take that lift, head back up and keep an eye on the ceiling. You'll spot a Writhing Rotten Flesh chilling near a small alcove. Inside that alcove, you'll find a Cathedral Evangelist and a sweet little Deep Gem. Grab it!

Now, there's another door nearby. If you open it, a Giant Slave will come lumbering out. Here's a neat trick: as you step out, let him get up, then quickly target his head. Roll back into the doorway as you attack, and you can avoid most of his damage. You can even finish him off with ranged attacks from the safety of that doorway if you want.

Once that's dealt with, you can circle around the area. You'll run into more Devouts, but you can also snag some goodies: a Soul of a Nameless Soldier, the Lloyd’s Sword Ring, and some Exploding Bolts. Nice haul!

Next, head down the stairs. Take the very first left and make a dash across to the other side. Turn around quickly to deal with three Hollow Slaves that will be coming at you. After they're down, grab the Seek Guidance spell. There's a ladder nearby that leads back up to where that crossbow Devout was firing from. Be super careful here, though – there's an Evangelist standing between you and an Ember. Don't get caught off guard!

Finally, head down the stairs again. You'll find a Mimic waiting for you. This one's guarding the Deep Braille Divine Tome. Make sure you've grabbed that Seek Guidance spell before you open the Mimic, just in case!
