Walkthrough

    Enter the caves and proceed to the bottom of the large crystal. Turn around and kill the Golem.

    Follow the Golem's path down and to the right. You'll encounter an invisible platform marked by ice falling onto nothing. Run across it to find Humanity.

    Drop down and continue following the crystals. Avoid hitting the Butterflies unless you intend to aggro them.

    At the back of this floor, look for ice landing over a ravine. This marks another invisible platform. Aim slightly left of the large crystal on the opposite walkway and run straight across.

    A Golden Golem is present. Hug the left side of the platform to avoid its slope and either bait it further up or fight it on the flat area behind it.

    On the flat area, locate more falling ice. Fall off the platform where the ice is, turn around, and fight three Crystal Lizards. You will receive Twinkling Titanite x6. Quit and reload if you miss any.

    Another invisible path is at the end of the cave, leading to an item. This path requires directional changes. Follow the ice, using Prism Stones to identify platforms if needed. If a Prism Stone falls off, adjust your path (right, then left). The end of this path holds a Blue Titanite Slab. You can return here using a Homeward Bone.

    Back at the Crystal Lizard area, move forward until almost directly above the Golden Golem, then head right and fall onto the crystal below to kill the Golden Golem. Grab the Blue Titanite Chunk at its end.

    Locate ice to cross another long, straight invisible platform. Aim to the right of the giant crystal at the top of the horizontal one.

    Follow this platform down to another flat area. Drop onto the invisible platform marked by ice and head across to the sticking-out crystal. This is a straight run.

    At the end, turn left to grab the Soul of a Hero. Head right.

    This area has Man Eater Shells. Hug the left wall to kill the Shell or bypass them. Head into the room at the back to trigger the boss fight.

Boss Fight: Seath the Scaleless

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Seath is initially immortal until the Crystal at the back of the room is broken.
  • Weak to Fire damage.
  • Resistant to Magic and Lightning damage.

Phases:

  1. Phase 1 (Immortal): Seath is protected by a crystal. Focus on breaking this crystal first.
  2. Phase 2 (Mortal): After the crystal breaks, Seath becomes vulnerable. He will flail briefly, allowing an opportunity to attack his rear.

Strategy:

  • When the fight begins, break the Crystal at the very back of the room to remove Seath's immortality.
  • Use the brief moment Seath flails after the crystal breaks to get behind him.
  • To obtain the Moonlight Greatsword, you must cut off Seath's large tail. This is difficult as the tail is hard to reach and Seath may die before it's cut. Lower your damage output if necessary to focus on the tail. Watch out for tail lashes.
  • Once the tail is cut or if you're not aiming for it, find a safe gap between Seath's tails. Attacking directly in front is possible but requires awareness of crystal attacks.
  • Seath is less dangerous without his tails. Exploit this vulnerability.
  • Avoid Seath's Arm Swipe, Breath Attacks (especially the Curse-inducing one), Nova Crystal AoE, and Tail Swipe/Spin attacks. Stay far away during his frenzy.
  • Dying here means re-navigating the invisible platforms, so try to avoid it.
  • Defeating Seath: Bequeathed Lord Soul Shard, Humanity, _**Defeat Seath the Scaleless Trophy**_.
  • Cutting off the tail: Moonlight Greatsword.

Post-Boss:

  1. Return to the Archives Bonfire.
  2. Talk to Logan. Buy all his magic. He will go crazy.
  3. Return to the area where you first encountered Seath. Logan will be there. Grab the Large Magic Ember from the chest.
  4. Give the Large Magic Ember to Rickert for weapon upgrades.
  5. Quit and reload the game to make Logan hollow.
  6. Kill the hollowed Logan to obtain the White Dragon Breath Sorcery, Big Hat, and Tin Crystallisation Catalyst.
  7. Go up the stairs to the side and turn around.
