Painted World of Ariamis

Teleport to the Darkmoon Tomb, ascend the elevator, and enter the giant room with the giant painting. Activate it to enter the Painted World.

Run up the stairs and rest at the Bonfire (a save point).

Kill the Hollow by the door and the two on the right.

Proceed up the stairs, killing any Archer Hollows (enemies that shoot arrows) encountered.

Before grabbing the item at the top, you will face an Engorged Hollow. These enemies are similar to regular Torch Hollows but have a bloated sac on their heads that explodes, dealing Toxic (a status effect that rapidly damages you) to the player upon death. Using a long weapon can keep you out of reach of the Toxic Mist, and pyromancies or fire attacks can prevent the Toxic explosion. Some Hollows can also throw a fireball.

After defeating the Hollows, grab the Soul of a Proud Knight on the stairs.

Continue upwards and enter the room to the left, then make your way downstairs.

At the bottom, defeat a few Snow Rats (enemies similar to Undead Rats but with more HP that inflict Toxic) and collect a Soul of a Brave Warrior in the corner.

Return and go down the stairs again. Instead of going left, turn right and ascend the fairly hidden stairs.

Kill the Hollows in this upper area and proceed further up. At the very top, you will find another Soul of a Proud Knight and be ambushed by a Crow Demon.

Crow Demons are half crow, half human enemies found on high rooftops. They ambush players grabbing items and attack with their wings or a damaging jump attack. They are the only source of Souvenir of Reprisals (items used for a covenant) outside of player-versus-player combat.

After defeating the Crow Demons, locate a small ledge with an item. Drop down to grab the Dried Finger (an item used to increase the number of phantoms you can see) and enter the room, then return outside.

Head back up the stairs. Instead of taking the next set of stairs towards the Crow Demons, jump over the broken bannister on the right. Aim to land on the corner of the wall to fall into the courtyard below; this is a valuable shortcut back to the Bonfire. Open the door to the right to return to the Bonfire.

Return to the top section and cross the bridge. Kill the Engorged Hollows in the room and exit to the left.

Knock down the item on the balcony and head back inside.

Go back up the stairs, kill the Archer Hollow, and then the two that ambush you.

Ascend the other set of stairs and go all the way up into the rafters. Make a tricky jump across to the balcony at the back to grab a Soul of a Brave Warrior.

Take the ladder down, defeating any Hollows that ambush you.

Enter the room, kill any Snow Rats, and open the chest in the corner to obtain the Painting Guardian Set (armor).

Return to the rafters.

Follow the rafters to the left; at the very back is an Egg Vermifuge (an item that cures poison).

Drop down and head out the hole in the wall to the left for a Large Soul of a Proud Knight, dealing with a single Hollow ambush.

Cross the bridge, but go to the left first. At the end is an Undead Dragon.

The Undead Dragon is a large beast that spews Toxic sludge, swipes with its claws, and attempts to grab you. It has very limited movement. To defeat it, wait for an attack, then hit its nearest and safest hand. Repeat this process.

Grab the Dragon Scale (an item used for upgrading weapons) dropped by the Undead Dragon.

Run to the very end of the path to find giant legs. Jump attack these legs to make them stand up.

For now, make your way back across the bridge and head right up into the tower.

Climb the spiral tower, defeating any Crow Demons encountered.

At the very top, on a long, winding staircase, find the Red Sign Soapstone (an item used for invading other players' worlds).

Head down and land on the ledge to the right to grab a Soul of a Brave Warrior. Drop back onto the stairs.

Return to the Dragon's location and head left this time.

Descend to the very bottom of the tower and pass through the fog wall to arrive back at the courtyard.

Go straight to the right to see an item. Before picking it up, head right again and through a hard-to-see area to grab another Soul of a Brave Warrior.

Now, pick up the Humanity (an item that increases your item discovery and raises your souls level by 1) from the other item.

Head up the stairs to find a Ring of Sacrifice (an item that prevents you from losing souls upon death) at the end.

Ignore the large group of slimes (enemies) in the courtyard.

Locate the staircase to the right of the giant door leading to the Bonfire. Head down the ladder to arrive at some underground tunnels where you will encounter Bonewheel Skeletons.

Bonewheel Skeletons are highly annoying enemies that roll into you with their wheel, draining a large chunk of your stamina with each hit and not sto-
