Find all 7 puzzle pieces and KONG letters in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze's Bramble Scramble level. Learn how to unlock it.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
As soon as the yellow flower platforms begin appearing, follow them up to the left, then ground-pound the bulb plant for a puzzle piece.
  2. 2
On the next beanstalk, collect the bananas as they appear, and a third leaf will grow on the top, along with a puzzle piece.
  3. 3
On the next solid platform, there is a vine hidden in the brambles at the top of the screen. Grab onto it, and a huge beanstalk will appear in the background, as well as a barrel cannon. Blast to it, then climb along it, collecting all of the bananas, while avoiding the lemmingtons. Once you grab all of the bananas, a puzzle piece will appear above the return barrel cannon. Drop down off the climbable surface to dodge the lemmingtons, then climb back around to the barrel cannon.
  4. 4
Jump across the beanstalks, then jump into the wall above the Kong barrel to reveal a hidden bonus area. Use the barrel cannons to clear the place of bananas to receive a puzzle piece.
  5. 5
Before jumping onto the solid platform with the bulb plant, drop down the right-most wall, where you can see a single banana, to fall into a barrel cannon. This will blast you into a puzzle piece.
  6. 6
Immediately after blasting down into the thick of the brambles, head to the left into a hidden area. Ground-pound the bulb plant here, then collect the bananas that pop out to get a puzzle piece.
  7. 7
Jump to the left off of the yellow flower platform directly above the N to uncover a hidden bonus area. Grab all of the bananas for a puzzle piece.

KONG Letters:

  • K: The K is above a red chomp in the path. Jump on it when its mouth is closed to gain enough height to get the K.
  • O: Jump to the O when the chomp's mouth is closed. This is easier to do if you jump from the right.
  • N: The N is over a pit of cacti. Use Cranky's cane pogo (a move where you bounce on your cane), or roll-jump (a move where you roll and jump) through the gap to get the N.
  • G: The G is right along the path. Hop off of the hootz (a type of enemy) while the puffton (another enemy) is high in the air for your best chance of grabbing it safely.
Tips
  • Cranky is a good choice of Kong for this level due to the amount of spikiness.
  • Grab the vine here to sprout a beanstalk with leaf platforms.
  • Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) #1 is located after the first major beanstalk section.
  • Checkpoint #2 is located after the section with the buffaloafer.
  • Pulling on the vine here will open up a path along the ground. Beware the buffaloafer here.

Boss: Triple Trouble

This island's boss is a Ba-Boom, the Boisterous, who creates two shadow clones of himself. He will start the fight with a rope swing technique. Each of the clones will swing downward at you while wielding a hammer. The third, fourth, and fifth swings will be open to a jump attack, signified by not pulling out a hammer. Once that's over, two of them will drop down and do spinning roll attacks. Continue to dodge them until they bash against the walls, stunned. This is another opportunity for a jump attack. At this point, the cycle will start over. Once you have hit any single one of them three times, the battle will move into phase two.

The two remaining clones will toss some spiky cherry bombs around. Wait for them to pull out a watermelon bomb, then toss it back at one of them for a hit. After that, they will start bouncing around inside the arena. After jumping around for a little bit, they will fall on their heads, opening them up for a jump attack. The cycle will start again with the bombs at this point. Hit either of them three times (hits accrued during the first phase do not count) to send the fight into its final phase.

At this point, the last clone will create two ghost clones of himself, then start swinging around from the ceiling. The clones will start to throw bombs at you. Wait for a watermelon bomb to pop out, then toss it at the real clone to score a hit. This part is a combination of the swinging tactic from the first phase, and the bomb-throwing attack of the second phase. The clones will start the swing from ropes at the top of the arena, and either throw bombs, or swing hammers at you. Wait for the real one to throw a bomb, then he will swing upside-down, allowing you to hit him with a jump attack. After this, the cycle will begin anew. Hit the last Ba-boom three times to seal your victory.

Precarious Pendulums

Tips
  • Diddy's extended hangtime (a mechanic that allows him to glide) can be helpful on this stage due to the precision needed for jumps. However, Diddy may be the worst candidate for picking up the fifth puzzle piece.
  • Many of the platforms in this level will swing back and forth, while others will respond to weight. The platforms that have tesla coils directly underneath them will slowly sink while you stand on them, requiring you to get off every once in a while so that they can reset. You can tell which direction the platforms are going to move based off of the scratch marks on the walls.
  • After crossing the swinging platforms for a bit, there is an urn on a small, elevated platform. Ground-pound it to release a pattern of bananas. Grab them all.
