Alright, let's get this quest rolling! We need to find King Somnus and then make our way to Ghent. First things first, head to the king's chamber. You won't find him there, but the Chancellor will be waiting. Chat with him – your answers don't really matter here – and you'll end up taking a forced rest for the night.

The next morning, the Chancellor is still around and he'll ask for your help finding the missing King. After that little chat, leave the chamber. Ashlynn will have a sudden idea. If you want more details, say yes, otherwise, let's move on. Head out onto the open battlements. It's time to use the Zoom spell! Select 'Switch Worlds' and then choose the other Somnia.

Once you arrive in the alternate Somnia, walk along the path through town. You'll find a helmeted man who'll tell you that the King and Queen have finally woken up. A castle guard will then ask you a question. Make sure you answer 'Yes' to this, or nothing will happen! You'll then be taken into the castle and find yourself in the dungeon. Check the door twice, and a soldier will show up, apologize, and then you'll be reunited with the King. You don't need to walk him anywhere; just moving Hero one step forward is enough. He'll ask you a question, and you should say 'Yes' – though you can choose 'No' if you really want to. After a bit, King Somnus will wander off and ask you to meet him outside.

Before you go, chat with the Queen, the Chancellor, and the soldier for a bit more story context. Then, leave the King's room. You'll find King Somnus waiting in the south-west corner of the western walkway. Just head straight down the open walkway, turn left through the front hallway, and you'll spot him. He's going to ask you to defeat Murdaw in this world – the real one! If you say no, the conversation ends, and you'll miss out on getting a ship. So, definitely say 'Yes'! He'll then tell you to head to a place called Ghent. You'll receive the [ROYAL MISSIVE], and he'll unlock the checkpoint north of Somnia for you. Now, let's get moving towards Ghent!
