Underground Cave 4

Guide to Dragon Quest VI's Underground Cave 4. Find eggs, battle monsters like Diethon, and discover Terry's role in clearing the Pass. Learn what to do next.

Walkthrough:

1. Upon entering Underground Cave 4, head north to find an egg.
2. To the left, find a broken egg, and further up, an intact egg.
3. Break the intact egg to fight the monster Diethon. Use attacks like Double Up and Sap. Be aware of potential poisoning.
4. Continue upwards, breaking all remaining eggs and fighting the monsters. There is one to the right, two to the left, and another further up the path.
5. As you ascend, you'll see someone fighting a monster.
6. Talk to the person; they will refuse your help.
7. Approach the monster to trigger an automatic fight.
8. You must return through the cave. Evac is not possible at this point. The monsters will have disappeared, making the return journey quick.
9. Upon reaching the outside ledge, the coffin will be taken from you, and you can now use Evac.
10. Enter Arkbolt. The blue swordsman, revealed to be Terry, is leaving and informs you that you are too late.
11. Inside the Castle, soldiers discuss Terry clearing the Pass.
12. Report back to the king; you receive no reward and have lost the prize.
13. You may view the coffin in one of the jail cells.
14. Speak with Brutus and his son in their room (down a hole on the top right of the second floor).
15. The bard has composed an
