Legless Spider

Guide to completing the 'Legless Spider' quest in Dying Light. Learn where to find 3 artifacts and 5 meteor pieces to help Spider and David.

Alright, so you've finished up the 'PUBLIC FACES' mission, and Spider's got another job for you. He can't fetch these himself, so it's up to you to grab some stuff. This quest is split into two main parts: finding artifacts for Spider, and then hunting down pieces of a fallen meteor.

Part 1: Artifacts for Spider

Spider needs 3 specific artifacts. Luckily, they're all pretty close to the Safe Zone, so you won't have to venture too far for this first bit. You'll get 10000 Survivor XP and $1500 for this part.

1. The first artifact is just to the left of the Safe Zone. Head into the house there, and you'll find it sitting on a table. Easy peasy.
2. The second artifact is also near the Safe Zone. This one's the closest. Just be a little cautious because there's a baby inside the house where you'll find it, also on a table.
3. For the third artifact, you'll need to head to a place called DAVID. It's on a shelf on the wall right next to the doorway. When you get there, you'll see David surrounded by about 6 or 7 guys. You'll need to clear them all out and untie David to trigger the next part of the quest.

Part 2: Meteor Pieces

After dealing with the artifact situation, Spider needs you to find 5 pieces of a meteor that's crashed nearby. Head over to the location he points you to. Once you arrive, your first task is to start up a generator. Now, fair warning: this generator is LOUD. It's going to wake up all the nearby Biters and, even worse, attract some Runners. You'll need to deal with all of them before you can start searching for the meteor pieces. You'll get 15000 Survivor XP and another $1500 for this part.

Once the area is clear, you need to find 5 meteor pieces scattered around. The generator you just fired up can actually help you narrow down their locations, but remember, it keeps attracting zombies while it's running, and the signal only lasts for a short time. So, you'll need to be quick!

1. The first piece is in a small patch of water, pretty close to the generator itself.
2. The second piece is located to the EAST of the first one. You'll find it near a cliff.
3. For the third piece, head NORTH of the generator. Look for some big trees; you'll need to climb to the left on some rocks to reach it.
4. The fourth piece is down in the WATER, towards the bottom of the area. Aim for the NE section of the circle to find it.
5. The last piece is to the left of two cars. It's located on the cliffside.

Once you've collected all 5 meteor pieces, head back to David. He'll be waiting for you, and you'll get your reward for all your hard work.
