Mother’s Day

Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the Mother's Day quest in Dying Light, find the Video Tape and Chocolate for Gazi, and claim your Survivor XP and cash reward.

Quest Giver: Lena

After Brecken returns and you speak with him, Lena will be waiting for you outside. She needs you to get medicine for Brecken. Check your map for a SIDEWAYS U shape located SW of your current position, near a safe zone. Head there and follow the path. You may need to jump over obstacles or climb a bus. If not, go left and jump over the fence. Make your way to the location, carefully descending the rocks to avoid damage. Gazi's house is in the NW section of the map.

Gazi requires two items: a VIDEO TAPE and CHOCOLATE. First, head NE on the map and follow the path, jumping over a fence. Continue straight until you reach the JUNKYARD. Climb over and proceed to the other side. Stay to the right on the hill to avoid the road. Near the location, you'll encounter several BITERS. Go around to the front of the STORE. Upon entering, an ALARM will sound, attracting BITERS and RUNNERS. Exit the store and eliminate the pursuing RUNNERS. Once the alarm subsides, return to the store, clear any remaining BITERS, and retrieve the VIDEO TAPE from a shelf inside.

The next location is nearby but requires clearing many BITERS. The source notes that firecrackers may not move all zombies, and direct combat might be necessary to enter the GARAGE DOOR. Once the area is clear, open the DOOR. A zombie will be by the cash register. Collect any COFFEE found here, as it's for another quest and shouldn't be sold yet. Proceed to the backroom and find the CHOCOLATE on a shelf on the right wall.

With both items for Gazi, return to him. He won't let you in directly, so you'll need to climb onto his roof. Use the HOUSE to the right of Gazi's to reach the roof. Drop down into Gazi's house and talk to him. Enter his room, located left of the TV, and collect the PILLS from the desk. Finally, return to Lena to claim your reward.
