Woodcutter

Meet the Woodcutter Master, Heyho: Exit Castele Square south, proceed through South Castele to the crossroads, then head east into East Castele. Heyho's House is to the north-east.

Speak to Forrest: Heyho gives you the Worn Axe and directs you to Forrest. Leave Heyho's house and head north-east towards the woods. You'll find Forrest and Monika just before the archway.

Head into the woods: Continue north through the woods to where Monika is waiting.

Practice and Collect Oak Logs: Equip the Worn Axe from the "Gear" menu. Monika will give you Apple Juice to replenish SP. Approach an Oak Tree, press A when the axe prompt appears, and swing. Collect 3 Oak Logs that appear from the tree.

Return to Forrest: Go back to Forrest near the archway with your 3 Oak Logs.

See the Wood Merchant: Head to the Castele Artisans’ District. Exit the woods south, do a U-turn, follow the road north, and turn left into the Artisans’ District. Continue west to the Save crystal near the Royal Workshop, then head south to the stalls. The wood merchant is in the bottom-left corner. Sell 3 Oak Logs for 90 Dosh.

Head to the Workshop: Go to the Castele Royal Workshop, located north of your current position.

Speak to Forrest: Inside the workshop, go downstairs to the right to the Carpenter's workshop.

Head to The Crown: Find the Minister's request for an Elder Log. Go west into Castele Square, then further west into the Castele Shopping District. Head south-west into the back alleys; The Crown will be on your right.

Talk to Heyho: Speak to Heyho inside The Crown.

Try talking to Heyho again: If the first attempt fails, keep pestering him.

Find the Forest Lady: Leave The Crown. A passerby will mention an event at the water fountain. Heyho has summoned the Forest Lady (Elmie). Ask her about finding an Elder Log.

Look for an Elder Log: Elmie will guide you. Head north-west towards West Castele, then south past the Airship Dock, and turn left towards the wooden bridge.

Obtain an Elder Log: On the other side of the bridge, find the Elder Oak Tree in the bottom-left corner. Approach it, press A when the axe prompt appears, and circle the tree with the Circle Pad to find and hit its "sweet spot" to fell it and obtain an Elder Log. Repeat as needed.
