Alright, let's talk about getting around the Rook Islands in Far Cry 3. This place is massive, split into two big islands, and you won't get access to the southern one until you've played a bit of the story. Think of it like this: the game opens up as you push through the main missions.

When you first start, your in-game map is pretty bare. Don't worry, though! As you play and do certain things, more of the map will fill in. This means you'll start seeing where collectibles are hidden and even general areas where you can find animals. Basically, if it's on your map, you can bet you can go there and check it out.

Radio Towers

You'll notice these huge towers scattered around, but they're all jammed up by Vaas's crew, which messes with your map's visibility. You'll get introduced to them pretty early in the mission 'Down in Amanaki Town,' where you'll need to climb one and shut down the jammer.
