Alright, so you've made it to the 'New Rite of Passage' mission. The next step is to head back to Citra at the temple. Just fast travel there and follow the marker. She's going to have you drink something... a bit of a test, really. She says only the strongest will survive, and she's not kidding. Soon after, a massive shadowy figure, the Ink Monster, is going to appear. Get ready, because you've got a boss fight on your hands!

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Assault

   The Ink Monster's first move is usually to spit gas, which then turns into fire on the ground. You need to focus your fire on its mask – that's its weak spot. Keep hammering it with those explosive arrows. Eventually, it'll disappear, and the area will go dark. This is when smaller shadowy enemies will spawn. They're fast and will try to melee you. Use your arrows to take them down quickly. If you get a chance for an instant Takedown, go for it. Honestly, just firing at the ground near them with the explosive arrows is super effective. Once you clear out enough of these smaller shadows, the Ink Monster will return for the next phase.

2. Phase 2: Projectile Barrage

   Now, the Ink Monster is going to start throwing giant balls at you. The best way to dodge these is to just keep running in a big circle around the arena. Don't try to stand still or strafe too much; a continuous circle is your best bet. After it throws about three of these balls, it'll pause for a moment. This is your golden opportunity! Quickly aim for and shoot its mask. Keep repeating this pattern – dodge the balls, shoot the mask during the pauses. Once you've landed enough hits, the monster will attempt one final breath attack. After that, it's done.

3. Finishing the Fight

   Once the Ink Monster is defeated, run up its arm and follow the on-screen prompts for the Quick Time Event (QTE). Nail those prompts, and you'll finish the fight. Enjoy the cutscene that follows, because that's the mission completed!
