Down In Amanaki Town

Your Far Cry 3 walkthrough continues! Learn how to complete the 'Down In Amanaki Town' mission, from buying your first weapon to disabling the radio tower scrambler.

Alright, so you've woken up in a hut with Dennis. He's gonna give you the lowdown on surviving this crazy island and hook you up with some cash. Your first stop is the general store in town to grab your very first weapon. Head inside and snag the 1911 handgun. Remember, you can buy weapons from these stores, or if you're feeling adventurous and activate Radio Towers, you can snag them for free later on!

Once you've got your new pistol and stepped out of the shop, follow Dennis out of town. He'll start explaining the importance of Radio Towers – how deactivating their scramblers opens up more of the map, makes weapons free in the store, and unlocks those sweet Supply Drop quests. Before you head off, take a moment to check out the buildings around you. You'll see some lootable items flashing; these usually contain cash, sellable items, and sometimes ammo. Don't miss out on that early gear!

Now, Dennis wants you to make your way up the Radio Tower. Your goal is to reach the top and disable the scrambler to help out the Rakyat people.

After you've had a quick look around, start heading up the path that leads to the Radio Tower. Keep an eye out as you go! Once you get close to the top, a snake is going to lunge out and latch onto your arm. Don't panic, just throw it off. You can kill it if you want, but honestly, it doesn't really matter for the mission. Loot the boxes you find around and inside the building at the top, then start climbing the tower itself. When you finally reach the very top, deactivate the scrambler. After that, use the zipline to get back down to the ground. Open up your map, listen to the instructions Dennis gives you, and as soon as you close the map, the next mission will kick off automatically.
